Conditions for Approval of E-Permits
All provisions of laws and ordinances governing this type of work will be complied with whether specified here in or not.
The granting of a permit does not presume to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of any other state or local law regulating construction or the performance of construction.
SEPARATE permits are required for Electrical, Plumbing, and Mechanical installations. It is a violation of City Code to remove or damage trees located in the City Right-of-Way. No building may be occupied until a Certificate of Occupancy has been issued or an extension has been granted. This permit becomes null and void if work or construction authorized is not commenced within six (6) months, or if for a period of six (6) months at any time after work is commenced.
City of Galveston Zoning Standards Regulations
Any error, omission, or scrivener in E-permitting approval does not authorize or justify violation of the Galveston Zoning Ordinances. The property owner is solely responsible for review and compliance with all associated codes and ordinances.
